OUR CLUB CURRICULUM AT UCS

Year 1 Computing Club

Get ready to explore the amazing world of computer science! In our fun and creative club, Year 1 children will discover how computers work and how we can give them instructions to do cool things.

Using simple and colorful tools like Scratch, students will learn key ideas such as patterns, instructions (algorithms), and repeating actions (loops). Each session is packed with exciting activities where kids can build games, create stories, and solve fun problems.

No experience needed—just bring your imagination and a love for learning! New friends and new adventures are waiting every term.

Let’s start our journey into computer science together!

Year 2 Computing Club

In our Year 2 club, students build on what they learned in Year 1 and dive deeper into how computers think and work.

Using fun tools like Scratch, children will explore more advanced coding ideas like making decisions (if statements), creating animations, and designing their own mini-games. They'll also start thinking like real problem-solvers by breaking big problems into smaller steps.

Each week brings exciting challenges and creative projects that spark imagination and build real coding confidence. New members are always welcome—no experience needed!

Join us for another exciting term of creating, coding, and learning together!
